Day 1: Guwahati Airport/Railway Station – Shillong (100 km / 3 hrs approx.)
On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, meet and greet our representative and start your journey towards Shillong (4,900 ft.), popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, a serene and majestic waterbody surrounded by rolling green hills and pine forests – a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. On arrival in Shillong, check in at your hotel. Later, if time permits, visit Shillong Peak for a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding hills, followed by the cascading Elephant Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls of the region.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Shillong
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya. Start with a visit to the Don Bosco Museum, one of the finest museums in Asia, showcasing the rich cultural heritage, history, and lifestyle of the North Eastern states. Continue to the picturesque Ward’s Lake, an artificial lake with a wooden bridge and lush gardens, perfect for a peaceful stroll. Later, explore the Botanical Garden, known for its diverse collection of indigenous and exotic plants, and the well-maintained Lady Hydari Park, a beautiful Japanese-style garden with seasonal blooms and a small zoo. In the afternoon, spend some relaxed time at Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, surrounded by pine-clad hills – a popular spot for nature lovers and photographers.
Evening is free for personal activities or to explore the local markets.

Day 3: Shillong – Cherrapunji (60 km / 2 hrs approx.)
After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (4,400 ft.), one of the wettest places in the world, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and waterfalls. En route, enjoy a stop at the Mawkdok Valley Viewpoint, where the sweeping views of deep gorges and rolling hills are truly mesmerizing. On arrival at Cherrapunji, visit the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, and the scenic Dainthlen Falls, linked with local legends. Continue to the magnificent Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), cascading beautifully down limestone cliffs. Explore the fascinating Mawsmai Cave, known for its impressive limestone formations and narrow passages. Drive past the Ramkrishna Mission, a noted institution for education and spiritual service.
In the evening, check in at your hotel in Cherrapunji and spend the rest of the evening at leisure, enjoying the misty charm of the hill town.

Day 4: Cherrapunji – Double Decker Living Root Bridge & Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, prepare for an adventurous half-day trek to the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge, hidden deep inside the lush jungle of Cherrapunji. The trek usually takes 3 to 4 hours depending on individual fitness levels and offers a unique opportunity to experience the region’s natural beauty, hanging bridges, streams, and dense greenery.
In the afternoon, continue your exploration of Cherrapunji’s spectacular sites. Visit the Nohsngithiang Falls, also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, a breathtaking cascade that is one of the most iconic in the region. Explore Mawsmai Cave, known for its narrow limestone passages and intriguing formations. Stop at Koh Ram Hah and enjoy the serene beauty of Ecopark, a well-maintained park surrounded by hills and greenery.
Return to your hotel in the evening and relax after a day filled with nature and adventure.

Day 5: Mawlynnong – Riwai – Dawki –Shillong
After checking out from your hotel, embark on a scenic drive towards Dawki. En route, visit Mawlynnong, acclaimed as the “Cleanest Village of Asia”, and experience the warm hospitality and vibrant Khasi culture of the locals.
Continue with a trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village, a marvel of nature where the roots of ancient trees form a sturdy, living bridge. Along the way, stop to see the unique Balancing Rock, an incredible natural formation that seems to defy gravity.
After the trek, proceed to Dawki, a picturesque border town on the India–Bangladesh border. Here, marvel at the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, so transparent that the riverbed is clearly visible, offering perfect photo opportunities.
Return to Cherrapunji in the evening and check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing amidst the misty hills and tranquil surroundings.

Day 6: Shillong – Kaziranga National Park
Begin your journey early morning from Cherrapunji (approx. 7–8 hours drive, 320 km) towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros. On arrival, check in at your jungle lodge/resort. Later in the afternoon, enjoy an evening jeep safari through the park to witness its rich wildlife, including elephants, swamp deer, wild buffaloes, and a variety of birds. Spend the evening relaxing amidst the natural surroundings of Kaziranga.

Day 7: Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, check out from your resort and drive towards Guwahati (approx. 4–5 hours, 190 km). On arrival, proceed to visit the sacred Kamakhya Kali Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India. If time permits, you can visit Balaje Temple. Later, you will be dropped at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station to catch your evening flight or train for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Assam and Meghalaya.
